Limelight is a WPF desktop application developed at CM Group for creating customized Silverlight video templates. Content developers use Limelight to generate branded video players through a WYSIWYG interface without editing code or XML directly.

The application includes a live preview viewport with scaling, a theming system with color picker and saved theme presets, data grids for managing resources, notes, and transcripts, and chapter/marker navigation tied to Expression Encoder. The XML output panel displays the generated configuration in real time. Projects save and load as .llp files, and styles can be imported and exported independently as XML.

Limelight outputs a complete deployable Silverlight player with all files needed for local and remote hosting. Each Luminosity deployment, including the Surface 1.0 and Surface 2.0 training courses, used video players generated through Limelight. The player templates incorporate GlossButton for interactive controls.
