Microsoft & HP Data Appliance Posters - Unified Branding Initiative

Designed hybrid-brand posters, banners, datasheets, and related promotional materials for a joint Microsoft and HP initiative promoting integrated database and private cloud server solutions. The deliverables included detailed technical diagrams, custom visuals, and automotive-inspired server badges, reflecting a broader co-branding effort involving major OEM hardware providers such as HP, Dell, and Intel.

The visual style combined elements from both brands: Microsoft's typography (Segoe UI) and clean, Swiss-modern layouts were integrated carefully with established HP branding components, notably the consistent use of angled design—a diagonal division distinctive in HP’s visual identity. Color usage was informed by emerging Microsoft private cloud branding guidelines, particularly shades of blue as dictated by HP's established identity, creating a unified and recognizable design across multiple assets.

The materials targeted technical decision-makers, database administrators, and IT infrastructure teams evaluating large-scale database consolidation and private cloud implementations, requiring precision, clarity, and ease of understanding complex technical concepts.

This project was part of a series of high-profile design efforts for Microsoft's SQL Server products, including the SQL Server 2008 Poster and the SQL Server High Availability Poster.
